Frequently asked questions about photo clocks
Design a photo clock online
At Vispronet®, you can easily design your photo clock with the free online tool Visprodesign®. To do this, select the “Design yourself” option in the “Print data” section during the configuration process. You will then access the design area via the “Design now” button.
For your photo clock, you can use your own images in the image formats TIF/TIFF, JPG/JPEG, PNG and SVG in our online tool Visprodesign®. The maximum file size is 200 MB.
You can determine the quality of your image in the online design tool with the help of the quality indicator. Select the corresponding image. If the color bar shows green, the image resolution is suitable at the size used. If the display moves toward orange, your image is no longer displayed in optimal print quality. If the quality indicator shows red, the image at this size is not suitable for printing. Reduce the size of the image in the design until the indicator changes to green or use a different design. Use high-resolution, sharp and well-lit photos for your design. Small image files should not be artificially enlarged, as this cannot improve the print quality.
Yes, the Visprodesign® design tool gives you the option of checking your design in a 3D preview. It shows you the position of your design on the finished photo clock. Please note, however, that the screen display is not color-accurate due to different monitor settings.
Use your own print data for a photo clock
Yes, Vispronet® provides you with a specific layout template for designing each photo clock. You can find the template on the product page of your selected photo clock in the “Print data” section, together with all important information on image resolution, size and color space. Load page 2 of this PDF template into your graphics program and observe the control paths for bleed, final size and safe area so that all design elements are clearly visible. Create your own numeral ring if desired.
Yes, you can design a photo clock with your company logo or a custom advertising design. Upload your logo to Visprodesign® or use your own print data. Custom-printed photo clocks are suitable, for example, as promotional products, customer gifts or for furnishing offices and business premises.
For designing your photo clock, use images with a resolution of at least 80 ppi to a maximum of 140 ppi (scale 1:1). Avoid upscaling image data, as this does not result in improved image quality.
The process of upscaling images is also referred to as interpolation.

Vispronet® manufactures photo clocks from acrylic glass and rigid foam.
- Acrylic glass: The transparent material has a glossy surface and is printed on the back and completely backed with white. This gives the design a subtle depth effect. Acrylic glass corresponds to fire class B2 according to DIN 4102 or M4 according to NF P 92-507.
- Rigid foam: The white, lightweight material has a satin-matte surface and is free of plasticizers. Designs printed on it appear vibrant and clear. Rigid foam meets fire classes C-s2,d0 according to DIN EN 13501-1 and M1 according to NF P 92-501.
Photo clocks are printed using UV printing with energy-saving LED technology.
The VOC-free UV inks used ensure that the printed products have low emissions. They have GREENGUARD Gold certifications awarded according to strict scientific standards (test standard UL 2818). The lightfastness of the prints ranges from 5 to 8 depending on the color, which corresponds to a rating from good to excellent. (DIN EN ISO 105-B01 or DIN EN ISO 105-B02)
All photo clocks are equipped with a precise quartz clockwork made in Germany. A 1.5 V AA battery is required for operation; it is included in the scope of delivery.
